Ecosia - the search engine that plants trees

A search engine like Google, but very different. Ecosia is the search engine that plants trees. However, this is not about profits. Ecosia puts its profits from advertising into reforestation projects. The self-imposed goal: plant 1 billion trees.

In our interview at the Entrepreneurship Summit, the founder Christian Kroll talks about the beginnings, visions and challenges. How he went from (budding) punter to tree planter. Why he decided to sell 99 percent of the company's shares to a purpose foundation.

Ecosia can now claim another major success: Chrome, the most popular browser of all, now offers Ecosia worldwide as the official standard search engine option. Surf the internet while planting trees.
